Good book for children of a lesbian couple

Our family is formed by two mommies and two boys so we are always looking for books that describes us. There are a few out there but not too many. In a world where the family model of a mother, a father and children is everywhere in books, movies and media, it’s always good to have a well-told story our children can relate to.

We read it to our children (7 and 4 years old) and they enjoyed it. I particularly liked the fact that there were no fixed roles attached to any of the mommies and that whenever love or empathy was needed, any of the mothers assumed that role.

Overall, 5 stars. A very good book in which our families are treated with respect and thoughtfulness. Will recommended for all lesbian families with young children.

I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
