Review of ‘Requiem for immortals’ by Lee Winter

Requiem for immortals is definitely not your ordinary lesbian romance or even the usual mystery / thriller. It is part of the ‘Law series’ by Ylva publishers but very different from the rest. How so? To start with, it is not an easy read. However, I’m saying this as a compliment because this is a book that challenges the reader by showing them a very dark side of humankind. The main characters are not easy to love or relate to, though I found myself liking them in the long run. There are some interesting twists to the plot but I thought that the end was a bit forced. Overall, an unconventional story that might not be everyone’s cup of tea but that is worth a try.
I have read ‘The red files’ by this author (her first book) and liked it a lot so I will definitely read her next one. I recommend this book if you are looking for a different take on the usual lesbian thriller / romance. 4.5 stars.
I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
